Lille is a very beautiful city, here a lot of students are living and it makes Lille more attractive. I recommend it to all the students.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lille?

The student lifestyle is firstly interesting, active and so funny. ESN (Erasmus Student Network) is a very good organization and it offers to you a lot of opportunities for partying (like karaoke) and not only.

How much does it cost to live in Lille?

It depends on you. If you decide to stay in your room as long as you live in Lille, it is not expensive (you can eat with 30-40 euros/week), but if you want to meet other students and you like to go out then you need another 30 euros/week. Moreover, they have here many shopping centres and for girls, it is a little impossible not to spend money there.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lille? Is there any advice you can give?

For me, it wasn't difficult because my father has a friend who lives here in Lille and he helped me with accommodation but for the other students, it was a little difficult. The accommodation is the most expensive thing here.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is not as good as in Romania but maybe that's why I eat just junk food. I like very very much mousse au chocolat, for me, it is the perfect dessert.

What places would you recommend visiting in Lille?

The old town is the most beautiful place in Lille.

Is it good to eat out in Lille? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is good but is very expensive. I don't have any favourite spots.

Is the nightlife good in Lille? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is the best. There are a lot of places where is good to go (my favourite is Network, but another place maybe called La Plaja is also very good).

What advice would you give future students heading to Lille?

I advise them to meet new people from different countries, to make a lot of friends but remember: we are here firstly for learning.
