It depends, I love chocolate :D

Yes.

450 euros per month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Try to speak from day one, take your language classes seriously.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lille from your city?
Walking because Lille is a small city. Zero expense plus you can burn those extra calories :p. Or you can hire a bike from (sniff) v'lille.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lille?
Le Rendez-Vous, Gautama or Australian café.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lille?
Street food is the best.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Grand Palace, Citadine, and also the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lille in the future?
Love rain and try to be adaptive. Cheers!
