Why did you choose to go to Lille, France?

Lille is a very lively student city and also my school EDHEC has really has ranking among world business schools.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I receive 400 euro per month during 10 month of my exchange.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lille?

There are a lot of student associations and students from many countries, so it the environment is very vibrant and diverse.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lille to other students?

I definitely would.

What is the food like?

The food is nice, especially cheese, wines, and all sea food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lille?

I found it really fast via my university portal.

How much does it cost to live in Lille?

Approximately 800 euro per month with accomodation.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language is a bit difficult but my school offers good courses for all levels of French.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lille from your city?

Flixbus - international bus connections.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lille?

There are a lot of bars and restaurants. I would recommend to choose one of them.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lille?

Unfortunately, I don't remember the names. There are so many in the center.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Grand place, Old Stock Exchange, Chambre de Commerce, Eglise Saint Maurice, Notre Dame de la Treille.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lille in the future?

If you live in a small town around Lille, such as Roubaix or Croix, try not to go there alone very late, since it is not very safe.
