I'm from South Africa and have just arrived in Leuven myself, also don't really know anyone here in Europe. So when you get here, let me know, there are 100's of beers to try here.
Maybe us from the South can figure out the North together.

I'm Umberto and I am in Leuven since June 2014 and I will be there until the end of December 2014. I am currently doing an internship in a company here in Leuven. I am currently looking for some conversation group since my target is improve my english and my spanish...I am not a KUL student so I am a little bit outside the Erasmus world! Hi All
Due to someone being unable to come study in Leuven we still have one room still avaiable in Bamse, the best international student house in the world!
All the students have a spacious room and there is a very big communal living area with kitchen, dining room, living room. 2 bathrooms for 10 people, 3 toilets. The house has a washing machine, fridges, freezer and dish washer!
All rooms are furnished with a wardrobe, desk, draws, chair and double bed..
The house has a great atmosphere and everybody who has ever stayed there has loved it.

Hello Emma,
My name in Dirk and i own a student House in Tienen .
this may sound a bit strange because there is no univercity in Tienen ,
But there are a lot of students who are doing their internschip in my compagny (Bosch ) .
So the students who live in this student house are from all over Europe .
since the House is located near to the trainstation , with a good connection to leuven .
at this moment i still have one room free ,so if you are interested i can send you more details , the price is 330 euro all inclusive , a bit over your budjet but the rooms and house are really nice .

I know I'm a little late, but I would like to know people ! My name is Ana, and I will study for the first period in Leuven! I'll Start on September 7, is anyone going on that date ??
On the other hand, I still do not have accommodation there, so I would like to find a a residence, if it's still possible. Does anyone know of anyone?
