Leeds is a very cheap city to live in as a student compared to many other UK cities. A room in a shared house can vary from around £60-80 pp/pw. If you choose to live in the university of Leeds halls, it can be a little more expensive but a really good way to meet people and interact with lots of students.

It is not difficult to find accommodation in Leeds at all, as an Erasmus student you will be offered university student halls which include bills and most can be catered. To find other accommodation it is best to contact university student services and they will put you in contact with local estate agents or landlords.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Like many places in the UK, you can get the majority of worldly cuisines in the city centre, from tapas to curries and all the pubs serve typical English food. My favourite restaurants in Leeds are the steak restaurants especially Gaucho, an Argentinian restaurant.

I would recommend visiting the main shopping streets in the centre, the corn exchange and Kirkgate market. If you are looking for something more to do with nature, the Yorkshire Dales are not far at all.

Leeds is a very cultured city but may be very different from your hometown so embrace it and explore everything Leeds has to offer.
