How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I had a 9-month scholarship. Unfortunately, most of the money arrived when I was already back to Italy. Therefore, I had to take care of most of the expenses on my own.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leeds?

Students live well in Leeds. There are not too many people per class, and the teachers are mainly competent and enthusiastic. Moreover, there are an incredible amount of clubs and societies at university, so there's a place for everyone!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Leeds to other students?

Yes! The city may not be so pretty, but it grows on you, and the uni is amazing.

What is the food like?

Meh! I wouldn't recommend Leeds for its food, what you can do is find a big supermarket where you can find pretty much everything and then cook for yourself (and your mates).

How much does it cost to live in Leeds?

Rents are not cheap, but the rooms are generally pretty big.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

The Yorkshire accents is quite a challenge. However, once you got used to it, you'll understand pretty much every accent in the world.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Leeds from your city?

Plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Leeds?

In the city centre, towards the river, there are a number of cool clubs and bars.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Leeds?

Nope, sorry. The best places to eat are pubs.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

York is very near, you can get there by bus. It's a really beautiful city!

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Leeds?

Just enjoy yourself, this is the place where you can find people like you and have the best time of your life!
