What is it like to live in Larissa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I would totally recommend the city of Larissa for students and for families. It is a city with many opportunities and lots of places to hang out, party, walk, run and sightsee.

What is the student lifestyle like in Larissa?

Larissa is a city build on students needs. It has many cafes, clubs for the nightlife and the Greek Mpouzoukia which is actually a place with Greek live music on stage where we drink and dance a lot! Also, you can have access in the library of the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa which is a very nice one with a variety of books. For me, Larissa is one of the best choices for a student.

How much does it cost to live in Larissa?

Prices are around 170 - 300 euros for rent (house for yourself, not house sharing). Food, clothing etc doesn't cost much.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Larissa? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not difficult at all. There are everywhere in the walls of the houses little papers that say "Enoikiazetai". That means that a house is for rent and if you make a call at the owner, they will rush to show you the house immediately.

What places would you recommend visiting in Larissa?

  • Pineios river for long walks and running.
  • Pantheon Plaza for shopping.
  • Ancient Theatre (Center) for coffee.
