What is it like to live in Larissa? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city of Larissa is located at central Greece. Larissa is the 5th biggest city in Greece. It's a peaceful town with friendly people who are ready to help you anytime you need it. I would recommend Larissa as a erasmus destination, because even if it's a small city you can find everything that a student need.

What is the student lifestyle like in Larissa?

Larissa has one of the biggest universities in Greece. There many students from all over Greece and this is the reason that during the year there many parties which are held by students in the city clubs.

How much does it cost to live in Larissa?

The prices in Larissa are not so high if we compare them with those in Athens for example. A student in Larissa will need aproximatelly 600 - 700 euros per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Larissa? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not so difficult to find acomondation in Larissa. There are many flats/apartments/studios for rent in the city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in Larissa is typically mediterenean. You can find lots of sea food as well greek fast food whitch is called giros/suvlaki. My favorite dishes are everything that is connected with fish.

What places would you recommend visiting in Larissa?

Near Larissa there many places that you can visit. About one hour by bus is the seaside. Especially for students who are coming the 2nd semester is a perfect destination to have a bath at the sea and a party in beach bars. The best city for nightlife the is called "Agiokabos". The other destination which i would recommend is "Meteora". That place is located north from Larissa and it's about one hour and a half by bus. Meteora is a place with really high rocks and on each rock is builted a monastery. You can visit some of them and the view from up there is really breathtaking.

There are many good places to eat in Larissa. There many different restaurants in the city so you can fing almost every kind of food. My favorite place is an Italian restaurant called "Il Fiore".

Is the nightlife good in Larissa? Where is good to go?

The nightlife in Larissa is really good. There are many parties held by students. You can find every kind of clubs. The most popular one is called "Poppey".

What advice would you give future students heading to Larissa?

The advice i would give is just to live your erasmus with the most crazy way 'cause we only live once.
