Costa dei Trabocchi

One of the reasons why many people choose to come to Italy is for the beautiful seaside, in both the winter (for little walks in which you can enjoy a bit of that refreshing sea breeze and for those who want to, have a delicious home-made ice cream) and the summer (to escape from the heat, relax and enjoy the colours of the surrounding area). Although out of all the coasts, the one in Abruzzo is particularly special because it has something unique which is unknown to many people: the Trabocchi. A Trabocco is a wooden structure on the sea connected to the land by an odd looking peer which was built for fishing, therefore it has really big nets. This coast stretches out from Pescara all the way to the north of Vasto.Costa dei Trabocchi

  • they are really well connected through a bus service;
  • beach parties during the day, with lots of music and, if you're lucky, you might even get to have an acqua gym session;
  • rent an umbrella and enjoy a day at the beach;
  • have a walk along the seaside and have an ice cream with your loved ones;
  • during the evening there are many places that have disco parties, although be warned, they don’t start before 23 o’clock (11pm);
  • have a bon fire in the evening and fall asleep on the beach to then wake up to the beautiful sunrise;
  • midnight dip in the sea, it’s really fun and safe;

There is a lot to do in this very special area!
