What is the student lifestyle like in Lahti?
Studies are very chill.
How much does it cost to live in Lahti?
As a student, you can get accommodation for about 300 euros.
Lunch at universities cost only 2,60 with a student card. I would say you need about 600 euros a month to survive.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lahti? Is there any advice you can give?
Everybody I know applied to company "Oppilastalo". They send you an offer after that. I don't know any other way.
What is the food like?
A lot of potatoes.
What places would you recommend visiting in Lahti?
There are some nice cafes at the harbour.
Teerenpeli has good beer.
Is it good to eat out in Lahti? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
I haven't found anything impressive. A lot of places are quite expensive.
Is the nightlife good in Lahti? Where is it a good place to go?
Most people went to Jackalope and Tivoli a lot.
What advice would you give future students heading to Lahti?
Winter is cold, dark and long, with a lot of snow. You will live in one building with many exchange students from all over the world, so it's really interesting and fun.
