What is it like to live in Lahore? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's wonderful place to live, many historical places to visit, traditional food, specially if you are interested in Pakistani culture this city would be good choice.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lahore?

You can find accommodation easily, many student hostels with or without canteen , best thing is you can find a reasonable place for living even for short period of time e.g (1 or 2 months), not like Europe to sign the contract for six to one year.

How much does it cost to live in Lahore?

Living cost in Lahore with compare to any other big city of Pakistan is relatively moderate.


Reasonable student hostel single room ranging from ( 8000 to 12000 PKR) per month. (Excluding internet, Electricity , Gas) bills shared accommodation is even more cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lahore? Is there any advice you can give?

No, its not difficult to find suitable accommodation, university provided accommodations and private hostels are all around the city, transportation system is very convenient, that makes the movement within the city very easy. you can find many ads. on the bus stops, or simply google can help a lot. (Email for advance booking is not recommended but phoning)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

This city is very popular for its variety of traditional food, which is easily available even at late night.
