Hello there!

How are you doing? Everything is going well?

Please interact with me through the articles I post on my profile and if you are traveling in the east point of Portugal let me know! I am everytime up for a new things, to meet new people to hangout and to share some amazing experieces and tips about traveling!

In this article I would like to share with you a experience that started in Vila Real de Santo António and ended in Lagos. This article is about people, about traveling, about new challenges that I took for myself and about crazy experiences that I had with two couchsurfers/ travelers.

The whole story or let's say experience started when I accepted to host two guys from Czech Republic. They asked me via couchsurfing (You must know that I am very active on couchsurfing and I am really happy when I meet someone and I can help with something) if I can host them for one night. For the begining it was one night because after that they stayed one night more cause we enjoyed our time together and we were a good company.

We stayed a lot of time on our rooftop we had drinking a good portuguese wine and sharing a lot of interesting stories from about our traveling adventures.

After one day we start our trip, very spontaneous because we said just yes when they asked if we would like to travel with them. We did know nothing but we enjoyed every second from this trip.

On the first day we went to discover Tavira, we stayed there a few hours but it was pretty enough to enjoy that city and to make some photos to remember. I will write an article about Tavira and Tavira Islands so stay tuned! You will find out some tips and nice things to do in Tavira.

On the second day we went to Benagil, to discover beatiful caves and cliffs from that area. I was impressed how beautiful was there. I could live there for a long time because everything is fine, water is clean, you can hike, you can swim, you can relax, you can rent a boat, you can stop the time just for you! So, what we did there? First off all we did some pictures of us. We bought tickets for a trip to see more then twenty caves and to travel around for more then an hour just for 20 euros of each.

I can say that we really enjoyed the caves that we saw around Benagil and our time there.

But, another interesting thing that happened there was a new challenge that I took for myself. I taked the challenge to swim with two of my friends from Benagil beach to the Benagil sea cave even if I'm not a good swimmer. I did it, but it was really hard for me and never ever again I will take this kind of challeges for myself. Why? Because water was really cold and at half of distance from the beach to the cave I was really tired and frozen. I screamed for help and Marek helped me to finish this 5 minutes long route swimming in very cold water. It seems funny but for me it was not. Finally I saw that beautiful cave. But I had a thought when I arrived there, how I am supposed to swim back? If it was hard for me to get here - turning back would be even harder because I will not only have cold water but also waves that will push me back. After I realized that, I started to ask for help! I asked everyone if they can borrow me their surf board because I am not a good swimmer and I need help to swim back. Finally I guy from Germany borrowed me his surf board and without problems I swam back. Nice challenge, I did it but never ever again I will take this kind of challenges!

This is the benagil sea cave who deserved to accept such a challenge for myself.

Funny fact, after we get back to the benagil beach I said to the guys that I am not good swimmer and they started hardly to laugh.

After Benagil we taked the car and started to head for the end of the world. I mean Cabo de São Vicente. This place impressed me and my friends very much that we decided to stay there for one night, to enjoy the feeling of the end of the world. Cabo de São Vicente (the Cape of Saint Vincent) is the most southwesterly extremity of Europe. This wind blasted and storm pounded headland is just what visitors expect, for what was considered, up until the 14th century, the end of the known world. The jagged cliffs rise 60 meters from the ferocious seas and high above guarding the busy shipping lines is one of Europe’s brightest lighthouses that can be seen 60 miles away. You will be impressed how beautiful is this place! It is true that there is windy but this can not stop you have an amazing breakfast after you see the sunrise from Cabo de São Vicente.

I kindly recommend you to see this place and after to go the Sagres to eat something good, a bit expensive but with a real portuguese taste of traditional food. Or just as we did in the morning - to have the breakfast with a great view at the end of the world.

As you see we had a great time together, everything was absolutely spontaneous, with a lot of activities in just two days! We taked the challenge to travel and to discover because we are in love with traveling.

On the next day me and Giulia taked the train back to Vila Real de Santo António and they guys continued their trip to Porto. I would love to continue too but I had to work on Monday.

Guys, I hope you enjoyed reading my story. Comment below, follow me on instagram and go for a new experience!

Do not forget! If you are traveling in Algavre, let me know! We can have a great time together!

See you and keep in touch!

Abraços!
