What is it like to live in La Rochelle? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
La Rochelle is a perfect little city for student. A cost city very touristic and with many entertainment (during the summer but also at the beginning of the year: September). Is quite and have a good lifestyle..., but is small too. The main thing is to be close to Bordeaux Toulouse, and even Paris (3,5 hours by train), and close to the south by car.
What is the student lifestyle like in La Rochelle?
Is very nice, many parties during the week end and every Thursday. Many things can be organized.
How much does it cost to live in La Rochelle?
The rent is between 300 and 400 euros in colocation and 400 to 600 euros alone but in very good apartments so it worth it. The food is okay but he restaurants can be a little expensive.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in La Rochelle? Is there any advice you can give?
No, is not so difficult, but you have to be around to visit directly the places. But it's sure you will find something quickly depending of your budget.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I make my own food, but a good steak is good for me!
What places would you recommend visiting in La Rochelle?
All the attractive place is quite small then.
Is it good to eat out in La Rochelle? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, very good. The Passport, Colombus, all the seafood restaurants.
Is the nightlife good in La Rochelle? Where is good to go?
It is good,but I can't help on this one sorry.
What advice would you give future students heading to La Rochelle?
Enjoying the time over there, is a very nice place to live for student and travels to the south.
