21 years old girls, accommodation in Kyoto for 3 months

I'll be in Kyoto from May to July. For this period I'll be doing an internship so I'm not going there for holidays, however i want to enjoy my trip, do tourist stuffs, go out, make friends. I'd want to be in a shared appartment where I can have some privacy in my room but still share meals with roommates, chat and why not hang out. It could be with girl or guy. I don't mind pets but i'm not at ease with dogs.
