How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was for 9 months but I stayed there 10 finally. The government of my region in Spain gave me 3500€ for the living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kufstein?

Due to the fact of being a small town all the Erasmus students knew each other and we made really good friends. The uni is new and has a good library and rooms.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Kufstein to other students?

Sure! Amazing town and really good university, i learned a lot there (and party a lot also)

What is the food like?

It is fine. Try the burguers of Auracher.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Kufstein?

No, it didn't. I decided to go to the International Student Residence so I applied really early (in January) to get a room there.

How much does it cost to live in Kufstein?

It depends on how you live and how much do you travel. I used to spend 350-450€ per month (Room not included).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

German is not easy at all. In the university they offer you two language courses but they are basics. We asked for something more advanced and they prepared us a course by paying 90€. Also there is an Academy in town where you can learn german but it is expensive (300€/month).

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Kufstein from your city?

By plane to Munich (Germany) and from there by train (less than and hour). It can be really economical if you go on group and you buy the Bayern Ticket.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Kufstein?

Segabar on karaoke nights, Kufa when they organise a party, Zur Weinschenke if you want to meet nice austrian people an grab a beer and Pure if you want a drink something and chill out.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Kufstein?

Auracher and any of the restaurants in the principal street and Stadtplatz.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The fortress is amazing. There is also a gothic church, the Rathaus and the old defending wall.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Kufstein in the future?

Travel as much as you can. There a lot of trains to everywhere and if you go with friends they can be really cheap. And go to Oktoberfest of course!
