KLCC park
I think I have pretty much covered everything there is to say about the Twin Towers or as we call them, KLCC. There are only a few finishing touches left for me to give you and then the ultimate guide to Kuala Lumpur’s hottest spot is going to be officially ready and complete for you all. Among those finishing touches, there is a little bit to say about KLCC’s popular outdoor park and why I think you should visit it.
1) The fountains
The most special thing about KLCC’s outdoors is this fountain, especially at nights. They always have this fountain dance; at least I think that’s how they call the performance with lots of LED lights and classical music. It usually starts from 8 pm and finishes before 10 pm, because that is around the time that the shopping center closes too. The whole fountain show is kind of majestic, it gives me the goose bumps every time- ok, that’s mostly because I stand too close and water splashes on me but it is still majestic nonetheless. During the day the fountains work too, but there is no “dance” going on.
(Yes I've got photography skills)
(The lake but the fountains were off, just look at how beautiful the sky and the buildings look like)
2) The view and environment
The view of the park is breathtaking; you somehow don’t feel like you are in the middle of the city with all the greenery all around you. It is the perfect place for a little picnic, with a view of the sky scrapers rising to the sky. Ok maybe you would feel that you are still in the middle of the city, but it's a good realization.
(People sitting and taking a little break by the lake)
Anyways the park is vast and beautiful, you can take a walk along the lake (No romantic strolls, I'll get jealous) or stand in a 100 different positions and take pictures so it looks like the twin towers are in your hands; you know those touristic stuff.
(View of the twin towers as I was walking in the park)
3) It's fun for kids (we're kids too, right! )
There is this pool kind of thing, in the middle of the park; kids love it; there is always lots of kids playing in it, while their parents watch from a distance; not a good day to be a parent. Anyways yes the small pools, have these little fountains too and it's just super fun for kids. There is always a playground right next to that, in case the whole small pool wasn’t enough for them.
(There are lots of kids here always, it was under renovation when I went, that's why it is so empty)
(The playground, they once asked to get off the swing, because it is made for kids, i'm stil salty about it)
4) You can get some exercise
I'm not sure if that will motivate you guys to go to this park. This place is also perfect for jogging; I mean it is the ultimate jogging experience. It has a jogging track all across the park and you see so many good looking humans jogging and exercising there, now I bet that’s enough motivation.
(The jogging tracks)
If none of these reasons are convincing enough for you guys, go because you can get some fresh air and it is an absolutely beautiful place.
(Lastly here's a map of the park, hope it's of any use)
Cheers!
