KL LRT system: Kelana Jaya Line
The next couple of articles, I'm going to try and cover as much as Kuala Lumpur’s transport options as possible. The best way to have an amazing time in KL is by having your transport mediums figured out, no one likes to get lost, waste time on public transport and specially spend too much money. Luckily public transport is super easy and convenient in KL and there are many options. So, for today let’s cover the LRT line, which is basically the metro.
Kelana Jaya Line:
LRT which stands for light rail transit, has three different lines in Kuala Lumpur. The first and the most commonly used Line is the “Kelana Jaya” line. It was known as the Kelana Jaya line because that was the last station, making the Line a total 24 stations. Recently as in a couple of months back a few more stations have been constructed and now it is a total of 36 stations.
Now, here there are some of the most famous stations, which are also near certain touristic attractions or basically Kuala Lumpur’s hot spots.
Ampang Park station: It is nearby Intermark shopping center, Troika tower with the sky dining, and a lot of other places that you guys can check for yourselves.
KLCC station: It is the twin towers obviously, so it doesn’t need much explanation. KLCC is also near the pathway bridge to pavilion. The Avenue K mall is also right in front of the station (I think I should write a whole entry on that place).
KL Sentral: KL Sentral is more of a interchange station. You can change trains to the KLIA express to go the airport, the KTM, and the monorail. I know right, basically all of the stations in KL somehow lead to KL Sentral. There is also a recently opened mall there called the NU Sentral. I will write a piece on it later because it's a rather good place to shop and dine.

These are the three most famous stations, but there are tons of others: remember there are 36 stations on this line. Nowadays, the last station is KJ37, which is in the Putra Heights. Go to https://www.myrapid.com.my for a detailed map of all of KL’s public transport options.
Cheers.
