Discovering Konya

Konya is in the centre of Turkey. City has 5 universities so it is one of the student city of Turkey. Konya is one of the most conservative city in Turkey and it was a former capital of Selçuk Empire. It is a home of Sufi saint Mevlana Jelalddin Rumi the most famous in Turkey . Konya attracts so many tourist because of Mevlana Tomb in the city Centre . Selçuk university one of the biggest university in Turkey is in outer of city . It takes 1 hour to travel to city centre from university . Although the neighborhood of University is a place where most of the student lives and there are so many entertainment you can do there.  Konya doesnot have so many student places and nightlife is almost bill but the capital Ankara is near to Konya, with high speed trains it tooks only 2 hours to reach . Antalya is the most famous tourist destination in Turkey after Istanbul is near to Konya . Historical Places Like Cappadocia is also near to Konya .Places go be visit in Konya are : Mevlana meuseum , Aladdin Tepesi , Sille , Kilistre and some famous Parks . Konya is one of the cheapest city in Turkey . 100 euro is enough for renting shared apartment . Studio will cost 150 Euro . Food is very cheap Around 3 euro is enough for one meal . Transportation will also cost 20 Euro per month . For international Students transportation is free of cost . 300 Euro is enough to live in Konya a good life . City is very clean and peaceful .
