What is it like to live in Konya? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

it is depending on which aspect you look at. Konya is conventional city. if you are trying to find out history and culture of the city, you are right place. But if you are looking for nightlife or entertaiment, actually there are not many options in the city. i can recommend this city because it makes you feel peaceful and safely.

What is the student lifestyle like in Konya?

They are living in the flats around the university. People say there are many opportunities to improve yourself and self expression but i am not student and i have never studied in the Konya just looking from outside. in that cause there is nothing else to say anymore.

How much does it cost to live in Konya?

At least more than 1500 Turkish liras you need that in order to live by the minimum requirements.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Konya? Is there any advice you can give?

No i don't think so, it is possible to find accomodation easily. There are so many flats, apartments, dorms.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

My favourite thing to eat in Konya is "Tirit" it is some kind of Kebap with butter. This city gives you many varieties for delicious foods.

What places would you recommend visiting in Konya?

There are so many particular reason to visit Konya, The most important thing of them to visit MEvlana, and try to understand him's life and lifestyle.

Is it good to eat out in Konya? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

i like fish, in this case i prefer to go Güven Balık (fish) restaurant, it is really perfect but the best place to eating Konya's traditional food is "Cemo etli ekmek restaurant"

Is the nightlife good in Konya? Where is good to go?

Unfortunately not good in Konya. There are few bars and club. People are usually going this places. My advise you to go Ankara by the high speed Train. :) it is about 1 hour 45 minutes. Some days in Konya possible to go concerts and live music making by rock and popular music groups. it is good.

What advice would you give future students heading to Konya?

it is possible to get a good education in Konya. Many universities and libraries.You need to take the opportunities in Konya in order to improve your knowledge. it is up to you.
