Komotini is a small city in the north side of Greece , close to Turkey. It has approximately 80000 inhabitants and around 10000 students. Half of the city's inhabitants are muslims. Highly recomended for people who like nature, different cultures and cold weather during winter periods.

What is the student lifestyle like in Komotini?

Student life in this small city is quite vivid. There are several parties at bars every night that are full of young students. Parties last till early mornings and as every student city in Greece , Komotini never sleeps. On the other hand this city offers several good excursion choices during weekends for those who likes spending time close to nature and a good environment to live and study.

How much does it cost to live in Komotini?

In Komotini you can live quite well with a budget of around 700/month all included. Most of the houses are between 250-300/month and the cost of living is average.

Take time to visit the arts museum of the town , take a walk around city and dont miss the old remainings of it. Also rent a car and go to the suburbs. River nestos or the close mountains of the city are a good choice. The view is awesome!

Absolutely yes! Take some friends with you and visit the local restaurants or the so-called in Greece "tsipouradika- rakomeladika". These are small shops like restaurants who offer light food options but great drinking options. Dont miss it!
