What is it like to live in Kobe? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Apart from Sannomiya and Harbor land,it is a quiet place and not very fancy.But there is no difficulty in filling your basic need.The more you explore this city,the more you will like it. Also it is close to Osaka,the second biggest city in Japan.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kobe?

If you would like concentrate on your study, it is a nice place. Very convenient for daily shopping. Also you have access to both sea and mountain. Your will find your favourite scenery there.

How much does it cost to live in Kobe?

Less expensive then Tokyo, but still expensive

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food availability is not so different from Tokyo. I recommend fresh seafood caught in Akashi harbor.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kobe?

Harbor land,Akashi bridge,big farmers market in Nishi-ku

Is the nightlife good in Kobe? Where is good to go?

Not very fancy but visit Sannomiya if you look for something.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kobe?

People speak very strong Kansai dialect. If you get familiar with some phrases in the dialect life will be more exciting!
