What is it like to live in Karachi? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Karachi is a city which doesn't sleep. You can find food and entertainment even at 2-3 am in the morning. The only thing keeping people going out is the security situation in the city but that is too limited to only a few places but most of the places are safe. The main attraction is the seasides of Karachi. The beauty is breath taking at night or even in the morning as well. The people here are friendly and willing to help you out with anything you need. Overall it is one of the best places to stay in Pakistan.

What is the student lifestyle like in Karachi?

The student lifestyle mostly depends on the university you are going to. If you are going to a government university or semi - government like NUST, then the life could be really boring. There is not much student activities in the university.
But if you join private universities like FAST or Bahria then you can enjoy life fully. There is always something happening in these universities be it cultural day, competition and stuff....

How much does it cost to live in Karachi?

The city if Karachi is very cheap compared to other capital of Pakistan Islamabad. There are many years hostels and guest houses available which you can get for around 300-400$ a month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Karachi? Is there any advice you can give?

Finding accommodations is very easy in Karachi but you would have to be physically available here to book a hostel or guest house since most of the people here are not connected through Internet. If you have any friend here in Karachi then he could also book on your behalf.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

All kind of food is available in Karachi. If you want Chinese then go to Ginsoy, if you want Desi then go to Anwer Baloch, if you want seafood go to Hassan square and eat fish on the sidewalk. You can find great taste everywhere. You just need to know where to look for.

What places would you recommend visiting in Karachi?

Hawks Bay Beach, Tomb of Quaid e Azam, Port Grande, Go Ash adventure park, Karsaz Golf Club, Arena Karsaz.

Is it good to eat out in Karachi? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes eating out is the favorite leisure time activity of people of Karachi. Each place has its own atmosphere.

I usually to go Anwer Baloch if I want to eat Desi, Hasan Zai near 5 star if I want Koyla Karahai, Roasters if I want to eat streak.

Is the nightlife good in Karachi? Where is good to go?

Karachi has the best nightlife of all the cities of Pakistan. It's a city that never sleeps. It's also known as the city of lights.

You can go to Do Darya sea side restraunts with beautiful view if the sea. Go to clubs and parties in hotels of defense area.

What advice would you give future students heading to Karachi?

Enjoy your life fully. There is always something happening in Karachi, you just need to be well aware of your surroundings and keep your eyes and ears open. Make good friends and enjoy your life.
