What is it like to live in Kaohsiung? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

For me Kaohsiung is always hot and sunny, it just like people who live here, people are always so friendly and helpful! If you are looking for a city to study, it will be your best choice because it is cheap to live and good Public transportation!

What is the student lifestyle like in Kaohsiung?

In Taiwan if you are students, then you will always busy until university, but after that I think that students are really relax! But if you are students from outside of country, then you will always feel so relax!

How much does it cost to live in Kaohsiung?

The price is from 3,000~12,000 NT for month, it really depends on you, if you just need a room with AC and bathroom, then it will be very cheap!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kaohsiung? Is there any advice you can give?

It is easy to find a place to live, but it depends what kind the places you like and which part of Kaohsiung you want to live!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Traditional Taiwanese dishes, noodles, and rice

What places would you recommend visiting in Kaohsiung?

Longevity mountain zoo, Sizihwan, Cijin Beach, British consulate, Refute two special and regional arts, Chengcing Lake, Shinkuchan Commercial Zone, and Lotus pond pond

Is it good to eat out in Kaohsiung? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I think that you can find many good food everywhere in Kaohsiung, do not go to famous restaurants, cause you can find better on the street, and it will also be cheaper!

Is the nightlife good in Kaohsiung? Where is good to go?

In Kaohsiung we have many bars, but just few night-club. Brickyard, Sway, Lamp, and Muse are the most popular night-club! I really like Brickyard, it looks like bar and night-club together, but it is not really big place.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kaohsiung?

If you can live in the south of Kaohsiung, it will be cheaper for rent and food. And it will be better for you practice your Chinese, if you are learning Chinese!
