What is it like to live in Jeddah? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

From the civilization side, building and main streets I can say it's good city, but from the social side I don't recommend it. Religious authority, and a society that tends to be extremist and racist can be really annoying.

2500 SAR - 650 USD minimum

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Jeddah? Is there any advice you can give?

As single it would harder to you to find an accommodation, but generally it's not that hard.
If you were from Europe - US - Canada I recommend you to rent an apartment on a compound, that would make your live easier and will keep you farther from extremist people in this society.

What places would you recommend visiting in Jeddah?

In my opinion the best place in Jeddah is Cornish, Jeddah has a good sea view.

Is it good to eat out in Jeddah? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are lots of Restaurants and Cafes in Jeddah, and a lot of them can make good dishes. Some of good spots to eat at : Zodiac , Break time, Joffrey's.

Is the nightlife good in Jeddah? Where is good to go?

I don't think so. but you still have Cafes, for example Break Time, DejaVu.

What advice would you give future students heading to Jeddah?

If you have another choice then I advise you to avoid coming to Saudi Arabia as much as you can. if you don't have other choice then keep yourself out of Saudi Society.
