Hello, Everyone!

I am Hina. I am an undergraduate student studying in Kayseri, Turkey. I originally belong from Pakistan and moved to Turkey about 2 years ago. The preceding summers, I went to Izmir with my Pakistani friend for 3 days. I had never been there before due to my busy university schedule. However, the preceding summers I finally got to go there and explore the city. I stayed there in a hotel located in the city center. The place was nice, secure and comfortable. Also, the best thing about it was that it was close to most of the touristic destinations including Kadifekale, Agora, Clocktower and the amazing seaside. In this blog, I would like to share you my 3 days experience in Izmir.  By the end of the blog, you will hopefully know more about the city from a foreigner perspective.

My first day in Izmir was pretty tiring but interesting at the same time. It was tiring because I traveled to Izmir from Kayseri via bus. The bus ride was around 12 hours but the good part was that the bus went at night and so I got the chance to sleep in the bus.  When I reached Izmir, it was already 8.30 in the morning. That was the perfect time for me as I had the entire day to start exploring the city. From the Izmir bus terminal, I first took the bus service that dropped me to the city center. When I reached the city center, I was hungry and so before checking into the hotel for dropping my luggage, I first found someplace to eat. The city center is crowded and we can find a lot of restaurants over there so finding a place to eat was not so hard.  Later I went to the hotel, dropped my luggage and rested for around 2 hours so that my tiredness goes away.

The first place that I visited in Izmir was the clock tower. The clock tower was situated very close to the sea. It was beautifully built. As it was summer time, the weather there was pretty sunny and hot. However, constant winds blowing from the sea made the weather pleasant. Close to the clock tower, there were a few restaurants. Later that day, I went to one of the restaurants and ate ice cream. It was delicious. Also, the view of the sea and the clock tower was fantastic.
