Hey all, I'll be studying at Bogazici Univeristy as an exchange student from Australia for the 2016/17 fall semester. I am in the political science department but will also be taking a Turkish language unit. I'm starting to look for accommodation, just been accepted to superdorm but it seems super pricy and really strict. Any other exchange/erasmus students out there perhaps keen to have a look around the neighbourhood and see if we can get a house or a room to rent somewhere near the campus which won't cost as much and be more chilled?

Hello there,
I came to Istanbul to complete my studies, worried about the location that I will stay in and was depending on the university to provide dormitory for me. Unfortunately, they didn't. I tried all types of renting agencies and types of accommodation. I was bothered about the idea that you have to pay triple or at least double the original price of the rent as a deposit. I came across two brothers. they were managing erasmus student buildings, They had affordable comfortable furnished rooms with a friendly environment and no deposit. The way that they treat their guests is professional. unlike the treatment of other renters, I lived in Ortakoy for a month and the renter refused to help with simple directions and asked for another payment before I left. now, I'm focused. I can study, relaxed. I hope with sharing this experience I help others to balance & manage their academic & social life away from headache. Trust me you will like staying with check&chill. I've been with them for a year now.

Hey everyone, i will be in istanbul for the next spring semester (in a couple of days) and actually I was relaxed but everybody there make me ask some question about the situation. (Little apprehension)... And also an another question: the eramus student meet each other or everbody do his "trip" by himself? :)

(2 minutest to İstiklal street and şişhane metro station, 50 meters to Pera palace hotel). It is my own apartment and living with my fiance in a room.
