Erasmus+ Internship Turkey

  1. First steps for an internship,

  2. My internship in Turkey,

  3. Place to visit in Isparta.

1) All the students should know that they have the possibility to make an internship provided by Erasmus in agreement with your university which leads you to get a payment, financial support from European Union and the most important, the international experience.

As scholarship you may have some benefits from where you could improve your English, culture and knowledge but for internship you should know better a foreign language and to have a few experience on working field which will be helpful for you, even if this is not necessary, some companies will not ask you about this, it will be useful only for you.

If you are looking for an internship for the first time, you should start with your International Office of your university from where you could have the necessary details and if they don`t know any companies which are receiving students, have a look here:

and you could take contact with a company abroad, by sending a recommendation and a motivational letter where you can describe yourself and for why this opportunity is important for you.

You should taking into account the foreign language that you know, you will need it, some companies will offer you a salary, other`s no, but don`t worry, you will have the grant of Erasmus+ Internship which is between 500-700 euro. Another important thing is to pay attention at the opportunities and benefits that the company will offer, as an accommodation, transportation, personal office, laptop and so on. There are some companies which don`t provide you a salary but instead of this they offers you accommodation, transportation and other`s benefits. I suggest you to look for these ones, even they are rarely, and these exist.

2) My internship starts from my university from where I got the point and after I searched for some companies. With some help I found a good job in Turkey, in Isparta Municipality, at Social Services Department. I send my Curriculum Vitae with my motivational and recommendation letter and after a few days I receive the answer, they are waiting for me.

As I said before I tried to search for the best opportunity that I could have, and here I had my personal office, laptop, transportation, a wonderful team and a place where you can develop your qualities.

My activity at work was about reading and writing about drugs, which in Isparta town made a lot of victims. Based on the information that I note from Europe and from reliability center, we want to build a center for those people who need help but also to start campaigns preventing the consuming of drugs: ``It will cost you less to prevent then to threat`` because you don`t have the certainly that the people under the treatment will not consume anymore drugs.

Beside of this my department establish projects for helping the poor people from Turkey providing them food, products, financial support and supplies for their children’s for school.

All of these makes me thing at the other, to share more that I had shared until now, to help and work by building a system for helping people, because if you want to change something you must change first, what you send you will receive.

3) I had the luck to combine the useful things with the pleasant work, because in this town I meet my friends and it`s was more nice. Isparta also is a beautiful town, know it in the past time and nowadays for his rose oil and carpets. This town could be also the perfect place for your scholarship also, because of the big university Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, which guest almost 80 000 students. You could find here all that you almost need, Antalya is near, like 60 km so there you can go for swimming, also a lot of pubs and coffee bars are open for students, I recommend, traditional Turkish food, which is delightful and if you like shopping you could find cheap and fashion clothes at Iyaş Mall. Beside of this in Isparta you can see touristic objectives like: The Augustus temple, Romans baths, Ancient teathre, Byzantine church and you can enjoy the beauty of this town by walking on the ancient streets with oldest Greek houses, which are telling you a story by looking at them.

If you want to relax yourself after a week at work or even during the working days, I recommend you to visit BJK Pub (Beşiktaş), doesn`t matter if you like football or not, here you will spend great moments because of the atmosphere that the music band knows to make it. For relaxing moments I recommend Edwars Coffee, form where you will get beside an excellent coffee, good services also. Here I usually go with all my friends, and I truly suggest it for everyone!

In my opinion this internship will provide you a better chance to find a good job abroad or in your country because sharing your experience will be helpful for anyone.

As I like to say: ``Invest in yourself`` and take this advantage now, when it`s the right time to build a carrier.

Best regards,
