What is it like to live in Irbid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in irbid is really simple, its a nice small city. The weather is relativly hot in the summer and moderate in the winter. People there are simple and very welcoming. There some sight seenings attractions that are close to the city, but the public transportation is a little bit difficult to deal with.

What is the student lifestyle like in Irbid?

The student life is easy because its a small city and every thing is in a hand reach, the yu uni. professors are mostly cooaperative especially when it comes to foriegn students.

How much does it cost to live in Irbid?

The cost ranges from 500$ to 800$ for students in student housing. But if you are looking for a cheaper alternatives you can settle with less than 400$.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Irbid? Is there any advice you can give?

Its really easy, there is many street posts in the university area for housings in the same area also. And if you know a friend it can make it even easier with better cost because you know a local is always better in doing these kind of things.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is a varity of foods available in the university surrounding area. You can find difdrent arabic, american, and other kinds of food.
But if you ask me about my favourite dish I would say mansaf but I would recommend it to be made in one of the expensive resturants and not the cheap ones because it makes a big difference.

What places would you recommend visiting in Irbid?

For sight seeing I would recommend um qais, al hammeh, ajloun castle (my home town) and jerash, all of these are relatively close and within a couple of hours in public transportations. But if you come to jordan you must visit Petra (google it please) and wadi rum, its far away from irbid city but its really
worth it, you would love it, I promise :) .
