Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol in western Austria. It is located at the Wipp valley surrounded by the mountains. it is a famous place for winter sports games. In 1964 and 1976, the city became the host place for Winter Olympics as well as the in 1984 and 1988 for Winter Paralympics. In 2012, the Winter Youth Olympics was hosted in Innsbruck. During the winter season, it is very cold and covered with snow. During the winter season, you can enjoy ski and in summer, ski jumping, cycling and climbing in the mountains.

There are several ski schools, cable cars and chair lifts. So, you have all the facilities to enjoy winter sports in this place. You can find a lot of B&B in this city for a reasonable price. You can reach there easily by bus or by train. Due to the public transport facilities, you can travel conveniently in the city by using trams and buses.

I went there during the end period of the winter season. It was so beautiful and peaceful city because of the Oceanic climate. In the city, travellers can visit parks, museums, monuments and church. Among them, Innsbruck Cathedral and Tyrolean Folk Art Museum could attract my whole heart.

Along with these things city organises not only winter games but also following events which are very famous among the tourists.

• Christmas fair (Christkindlmarkt)

In this time, I am waiting to celebrate Christmas there and attend the Christmas fair. I hope it will be a nice experience as before.
