What is it like to live in Hyderabad? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I would definitely recommend Hyderabad, to someone who just want to live in the state of Telangana which is in the south region of India. Hyderabad(a metropolitan city) is the capital city of telangana state and it is located in the heart of Telangana connecting all other districts equally in the State with good Roadways and Railways. The city is huge with many Industries, literally with more number of multi national IT companies. the big thing i like about hyderabad is it is not highly polluted or creates pollution as other big cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and chennai does.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hyderabad?

There are many universities and private colleges with varied streams like Engineering, medicine, arts etc.., perhaps different kinds of students and also in more number live here because, almost all reputed educational institutions of Telangana are established in Hyderabad when compared to other districts in the state. And almost 70% of the students of this city get employed in the same city, which is a great advantage. and that's why more and more students come here for higher studies and settle down here.

How much does it cost to live in Hyderabad?

well this is a tricky question! because it depends on the life style of each individual and where exactly the person is going to live in this big city (i mean the rents go high as you go in to the central parts of the city). and one can find a shared Room or apartment at cheaper rates in the city outskirts. and according to me a student can sustain with INR 5k-6k per month and A Family of 4 needs atleast 18k-23k per month including rents and utilities. to be honest Hyderabad is the cheapest city in terms of cost of living than other cities like Delhi, Mumbai..

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hyderabad? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not too difficult. one can find online or even by exploring the city.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

you can get various types of food in hyderabad as this city is filled with different cultures and customs. to name some there are some famous South indian special dishes like Biryanis, pulav, kebabs, etc.. you can also get Chinese,Italian food. But one must try the famous Hyderabadi chicken Biryani which is my favourite. also

What places would you recommend visiting in Hyderabad?

there are some historical places like Golconda fort, Charminar, Birla mandir, Tank bond, Lumbini park and many more....

Is it good to eat out in Hyderabad? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Biryani at Paradise restaurant and Bawarchi RTC cross roads and also one must try food at Gokul Chat in Koti. And hyderabad is also well known for its biscuits and Tea which is available many cafes.

Is the nightlife good in Hyderabad? Where is good to go?

yes. the nights are even beautiful but only after 10pm. one can have pleasant times at tank bond or Hussain sagar.

What advice would you give future students heading to Hyderabad?

explore the city as much as you can and at the same be safe on the roads as many accidents can be seen everyday on hyderabad as it is more densly populated city in the state. use the Public transport more because it is safe and affordable to travel.
