What is it like to live in Hyderabad? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Hyderabad is the Capital city of Southern Indian states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. And it is also called as The City of Pearls and Hi-tech city. Its a very good city to live in. People from around the globe are living, studying and working in Hyderabad. It is one of the major center of the technology industry in the world. There are a lot of IT-parks in this city. You can live a normal(Low budget) life or an expensive life in this beautiful city(it depends on which part of the city you are living in). I would totally recommend this city for anyone. Hyderabad is one of few the multicultural cities in the world. The only thing I don't like in Hyderabad is its traffic if you can get adjusted to traffic of this city you can live a very happy and peaceful life with a touch of entertainment and adventure.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hyderabad?

The student lifestyle is awesome in Hyderabad. You can have a very good education. The professors are very strict about the classes(attendance is must) and exams. There are a lot of good universities and Colleges in Hyderabad. The education is not expensive. But make sure that you inquire about the university or college before you enroll. And for the fun part there are a lots and lots of Cinemas, shopping malls, chill out/hangout places in Hyderabad. Students get a very good and fun experience in Hyderabad.

How much does it cost to live in Hyderabad?

It totally depends on the lifestyle of the person. You can live a normal(Low budget) life or an expensive life in this beautiful city(it depends on which part of the city you are living in).The average cost of living is around 20,000 in rupees(270-300 Euros or 300-350 Dollars) per month. You can also live for less money but I recommend the average/high cost of living is better in this city

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hyderabad? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes, it is a bit difficult to find accommodation in Hyderabad because a lot of people from all over the world come to live in this city every single day(but you can find accommodation if you try hard). I would recommend to go for student/working dormitories/hostels which cost more than 130 Euros or 150 Dollars(Less than that don't go for hostels/dormitories). You can also find apartments, flats and houses(But most of the landlords are not willing to rent them for students/bachelors). Maybe they will rent it to foreing students ;) .

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Its the best city in the world for food lovers. You can find all kinds of cuisines(Spicy and Normal) here. Hyderabad is very famous for Biryani(Everyone must try it at least once in their life-time). My favorite dishes are Biryani, Butter chicken with garlic-naan/rumali-roti/, shawarma(Kebab), Kulfi Ice cream, etc..

What places would you recommend visiting in Hyderabad?

Golkonda Fort, Charminar, Ramoji Film City (The biggest film city in the world), Salar Jung Museum, Snow World, Nehru Zoological Park, Tank bund, Neck-lace Road,  Forum Mall, InOrbit Mall, Hyderabad Central, Prasads iMax, etc,..

Is it good to eat out in Hyderabad? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are lot of places to eat out in Hyderabad. Few of my favorite places are Chilis restaurant in Inorbit Mall, Syala Drive-in(Jubilee hills), Punjabi Affair(Madhapur), Bawarchi Restaurant(R.T.C Cross roads), Chutneys(Veg), Ohri's Banjara, Absolute Barbecue(Jubilee hills), etc,.. And you can find a lot of street food at late nights/anytime.

Is the nightlife good in Hyderabad? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is so good in Hyderabad. You can go to Hard Rock Cafe, Club Trinity, 10 Downing Street, Air Cube, Xtreme Sports Bar, etc,.. or You can go on a long drives because it is a very big city. But I advise not to go alone(always go in group of 3or4/more) at nights and try to avoid auto-rikshaws. And do not violate any traffic rules. Drink(alcohol) and drive is very offensive in Hyderabad.

What advice would you give future students heading to Hyderabad?

You can enjoy you student life in Hyderabad with a quality education. I advise students to use Ola cabs or Uber for transport if you don't have a personal vehicle. And always carry minimum liquid cash and try to use credit/debit cards instead of cash. Try not to violate any law/traffic rules. Drink(alcohol) and drive is very offensive in Hyderabad.
