Life change stories from Erasmus workshop in Vietnam

The joint workshop on employability and entrepreneurship in Hue, Vietnam

Erasmus scholarship offers different scholarship; the most well-known ones are Techno and Lotus. Erasmus usually organizes workshop each year to let aluminium students share their learning experience.

In terms of employability, the sharing should answer for some questions “Do they find an employment easily?”, “Does the experience of study abroad make it easier?”, “Does it bring better wages from the beginning? How far? “

In terms of entrepreneurship, the sharing should cover “How many create an activity and how long after they return? How many intend to? “

I am thankful to get selected to share my experience this year in the workshop held in Hue, Vietnam. I would like to share with you some stories that I learned from the workshop this year.

Story 1 

The first story is about the lady with 10 years persistence. She only attended Erasmus exchange for 1 month but it was her life change experience where she decided to establish her own lab. She felt so lonely at the beginning because nobody supported her. She didn’t give up. She wrote 10 proposals every week in 10 years to ask for funding. And finally she got it. Her lab just made the first product and she is working on commercializing the product.

Story 2

The second story about a girl who transferred from Self to Tefl (teaching English as foreign language). She was really shy so she didn’t think she could become a teacher 3 years ago before she went to study abroad. After the one year studying abroad, she found her true self and confident to pursue her dream and now she became an English teacher.

At the end of the day, it is about self motivation. Studying abroad seems to be a good chance for people to develop their best self and live up to the person they want to be every day.
