Herning is a great city! It's not a big city, but it sure feels like it! It's a beautiful city with a long and nice shopping street full of restaurants, stores, pubs and clubs. People here are nice and normally openminded. Almost everyone here can btw speak English. It's nice to live here, so I would recommend it (:

What is the student lifestyle like in Herning?

You care for your studies but in your sparetime mostly everyone have a sport, a hobbie or a work to take care of. In the weekends we party a lot.

How much does it cost to live in Herning?

350-750€ It depends on number of rooms, where it is, and what it comes with (:

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can get danish, mexican, chinese, mongolian, japanese, american (read: fastfood) and turkish food. I'm a big fan of Sushi (;

What places would you recommend visiting in Herning?

- Kongrescenteret (Convention center) for concerts, stand-up, theatre, musicals etc.
- The new library which is about to be build, will prob. be worth seeing
- All the nature just few kilometers outside the city
- Herningcenteret; The biggest shopping Mall in this part of the country.
In summertime go to "Fuglsangsøen" [fulsangsoen] (almost!) It's a lovely little city beach!

Is it good to eat out in Herning? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

- The Mexican (El Maistro)
- Den kinesiske mur (The Chinese wall)
- Pianobar (Very expensive, but very very nice!)
- Pappa's (best pizzaria in town)
