Why did you choose to go to Heilbronn, Germany?

I did not have a choice, it was chosen for me by my home university. However, after living in Heilbronn I've recommended it to many of my friends who are coming in the summer semester. I have done so because the city is honestly the perfect student city for students who are not looking for cities that are too big or too small.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Honestly, I spent around 1,000 euros a month in Heilbronn (including house rent, mobile service, transportation, health insurance). I chose not to deprive myself of any entertainment haha, but other students were able to live with a lot less than 1000 euros and were still happy.

What is the food like?

I was pretty impressed by the outstanding restaurant-quality found in Heilbronn! There are so many good restaurants ranging from Italian, Turkish, German, Chinese, and many more.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

German is not the easiest language to get a grip of, especially if you haven't taken courses previously. It was easier for me since I've taken plenty of German language courses before coming to Heilbronn. Fortunately, Heilbronn Hochschule offers German language courses to all students.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Heilbronn?

It depends whether you're looking for a nice little bar for a friendly chat with your mates, or to go all out and party at Heilbronn's clubs. Mangold and Sausalitos are nice restaurants/bars. There are many nice clubs in Heilbronn, some are a bit further than others. Creme 21 and Club La Boom are considered pretty far compared to clubs like Rooms Club or Musikpark, but they are all considered good clubs. It honestly just depends on the specific events on specific dates so just follow the clubs' Facebook pages!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Heilbronn?

L'Osteria, Burger Heart, Lehners, Hans im Gluck.
