Why did you choose to go to Heidelberg, Germany?

Heidelberg is a very prestigious university city. It's the first thing that made me decide upon it. It's also a small city which is something I need.

How long is the scholarship for? How much money do you receive as aid?

The scholarship was for 10 months when I went and I was paid around 300 euros a month although I know unfortunately, this matter has changed.

How is student life in Heidelberg?

Great! It's a student city like Salamanca.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Heidelberg to other students?

Of course. Although it is important that you're aware that it isn't an easy University. The teachers are quite demanding and don't give out special favours.

How is the country's food?

Quite good but you already know there's nothing like your mothers...

Did you find find difficult to find accommodation in Heidelberg?

Very... It was impossible for me to find a student flat which meant I ended up deciding to go to the SRH, a student hall which is slightly on the outskirts but cheap. I don't regret living there.

How are living costs in Heidelberg?

It's quite expensive but that hall is better.

How is the language? Did you go to any courses at the University?

Yes, there are courses that are quite cheap.

What is the most economical way of getting to Heidelberg from your city?

I flew with Ryanair to Frankfurt Hahn and there are coaches from there.

Which places would you recommend to go out to party in Heidelberg?

Villa Nacht Tanz and the central bars.

And to eat in Heidelberg? Can you name your favourite places?

SÜdpfanne is one of the most traditional ones and it's very delicious but I don't remember any more.

And as a cultural visit?

The entire city is a monument.

Any advice you want to give to future students in Heidelberg?

The only advice is that you work hard enough at the university but you will learn a lot of German!
