Perfect Erasmus in Heidelberg

Hello everyone,
I just finished my erasmus in Heidelberg. I'm a master physics major from Rome and I went to heidelberg for the summer semester of my first year.
The city is perfect for an erasmus. It is full of international students from everywhere that you will have the chance to meet in the orientation days of the university and of ESN. The city is small and you can bike everywhere but you also have a change to do the Deutchland ticket that gives you access to all regional public trasportation in germany (regional train + city trasportation) which I recommend (even if train are always late as you will discover). The university is very good and the professor are always there to help you. All the erasmus student I met where given accomodation from the university, which is the best since most of the buildings are close to the university and cheap (more or less from 200 € to 380€) so ask for them. The city is small so there aren't many activities for the evening other then bars and a few clubs (go to halle 02!!) but if you are not looking to party everyday it is very still very much fun :) There are also many places where you can have a day trip with your friends like strasbourg, stuttgard, frankfurt, frieburg... The mensa was okay and pretty cheap, it's a buffet and you pay depending on your plate's  weight so you can pay according to how hungry you are. If you go in the summer the neckarwiese is the perfect place to hung out in the afternoon for a bier and snack with your friends. Have fun!!
