New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus)

The New Town Hall is used today as such. Inside there is a series of 4 models of the city that show the state of this at different years: 1689, 1939, 1943 and Today (Heute). The ground floor room is sometimes used as exhibitions and has a way to climb to the dome, where you can see the full city. You go up by a lift that tilts. The elevator is on one side of the dome, held by the buttresses of it.

It is surrounded on its northern part by the historic center(Mitte) and on its southern part by the lakes of the city (See)
