What is it like to live in Györ? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I live in Győr since september 2015 and I really like this city. It's not that big so everything is accessible from the city centre. The weather is almost always sunny, the people are kind. In the centre there are good places to chill for a little and have a conversation with a friend.

What is the student lifestyle like in Györ?

Is't sometimes hard to be a university student in Győr, but I think it's ture for every university. The teachers are severe sometimes but they never ask impossible questions. However, the unilife is good, the student organization throw a party in every months that I would recommed for everyone.

How much does it cost to live in Györ?

It's quite cheap to live in Hungary against other european countries. You can buy a meal for about 3 EUR. The clothes are also cheap in the city.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Györ? Is there any advice you can give?

No, I think if you start to search in time then you can find nice accomodation for fair price and with good location.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

My favourite dishes are mainly the traditional dishes from Hungary for exaple Gulash. The hungarian dishes are quite greasy but if you dont't eat too much it's okay to every day these types of food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Györ?

The Széchenyi square is a highly recommended place to visit, but if you will learn in Győr you'll definitely go there because it is located next to the Széchenyi University.

Is it good to eat out in Györ? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favourite spots are John Bull Pub and there is a boat one the River Danube that is acually a restaurant. These restaurant offer really delicious food for good prices.

Is the nightlife good in Gyor? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of opportunities to choose almost every night. There are several clubs near the university but there are other clubs that are better, for example Mamma Mia or Vertigo. In the clubs the drinks are quite expensive as in any other countries so I would say you should buy the drinks that you want to drink during the night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Gyor?

Enjoy every moment of it because it goes really fast!
