Looking for high quality vegetarian / vegan food in Graz? Don't want to spend more than €10? Then Ginko is the right place for you! The restaurant I mean, not to be confused with the Greenhouse Ginko near the main square!
The Ginko is near the Jakominiplatzes. I've been to eat there many times and have always really enjoyed the good food. There is a big, purely vegetarian buffet of which some of the dishes are vegan. With such variety on offer it can be very difficult to decide!
There are many delicious salads with several dressings to choose from. Then, there are soups and a variety of different main courses! There have also often been Asian dishes when I've been there.
Everything always looks so good so your plate fills up quickly. But don't worry! Even a full plate at Ginko is not expensive! The plate is weighed so you pay depending on how hungry you are and how full you load your plate. However, even when I've been very hungry, I've never paid more than €8 or €9.
On show at the counter there are also many vegan cakes and pies. You can also get a glass of water for 20 cents, and fill it up as often as you want. How cool is that?
In the summer you can also sit outside and the restaurant is always busy. Therefore, it might be advisable to reserve a table although I have almost always found a place without having to.
