Why did you choose to go to Graz, Austria?

I chose Graz because of my German language skills. Graz was a great opportunity to improve my German, but I also had the chance to take some English courses at the university.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was 6 month long, and I received 300 €/month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Graz?

The austrian students are very helpful, and the ESN Graz also organized a lot of good programms, trips and parties for the exchange students. There is a great nightlife in Graz, with a lot of great pubs.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Graz to other students?

Absolutely.

What is the food like?

The food is very similar to the Hungarian food, so it wasn't a big difference to me. I liked not only the food but also the great austrian beer as well. The Puntigamer Beer Factory is located in Graz, I strongly recommend to take a visit there, it's so much fun!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Graz?

I had really bad experiences finding a good accomodation. It took a long time and a lot of money to finally find the perfect accomodation. There are really great student dorms, but there are some really bad ones. Be careful!

The dorms what I would recommend are the Moserhofgasse, Steyrergasse, Neubaugasse and Wienerstrasse.

Graz is not a cheap city, but if wecompare it to other European countries, the prices are normal.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are great language courses at the university, and we also had the opportunity to take a German course before the internship and the university started.
