What is it like to live in Gliwice? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Gliwice is an amazing city! It has really great landscapes. I recommend to live in Gliwice, beacause there is a lot of things to do and at the same time it's not so big.

What is the student lifestyle like in Gliwice?

The students really like parties, especially in students dormitories. You won't be bored!

How much does it cost to live in Gliwice?

It's not so expensive, it's about 300-400 zł for dormitory. Then, you can buy lunch in canteen (10-15 zł) or cook by yourself (cheaper).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Gliwice? Is there any advice you can give?

You can rent a flat by yourself in the city center, it is an expensive way. I recommend you to live in dormitory, it is cheap, fun and really close to university. On the website of Silesian University of Technology, you will find more informations.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is delicious! My favourite one are dumplings, you must try it!

What places would you recommend visiting in Gliwice?

Gliwice Radio Station, Music Theatre, Market Square, The Piast Castle, St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral, Frederic Chopin Park, Municipal Palmhouse, Town Hall... These are places you must see. It is necessary.

Is it good to eat out in Gliwice? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Of course it is good to eat out sometimes. There are numerous restaurants, offering cuisine from all over the world provide something for everyone. My favourites are The Pancakes factory and Dominium Pizza.

Is the nightlife good in Gliwice? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is quite good in weekends. In the evening you can go to the numerous pubs, musical clubs and discos. The fun and people are around the Market Square!

What advice would you give future students heading to Gliwice?

Keep calm and study in Gliwice! You won't regret.
