What is it like to live in Girona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Girona is very interesting and historical city. If you are into history then go for it. Moreover, the city has an outstanding old town. Many tourists on the streets.
What is the student lifestyle like in Girona?
For those who like to explore architecture and history, then it is the place. But now for parties, indeed.
How much does it cost to live in Girona?
It is not very expensive. For instance, good-looking 2-room apartment (65 m2) for a long term would cost you about 500-600 euros. It is important to be employed to feel more confident but not to expect any help from parents.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Girona? Is there any advice you can give?
If you speak Spanish on a basic level, then you would not have a problem to find an apartment. However, there are people who speak English, but mainly youth. Anyway, you will find it anyway if you put much effort in it. Likewise, you may meet people who speak several languages.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
In Girona you can find many different restaurants and cafes. Most of them are cheap if you are strolling out of downtown you will see them. But, the best ones are in the old town of Girona. Therefore, the prices on orders are higher. I do recommend you to try gazpacho, specifically in some solid restaurant not in hotel or cheap cafe. If you afford yourself to try it you would be blown away.
What places would you recommend visiting in Girona?
Girona is a touristic city. Personally, Old Town is the best spot to see all places. However, my favorite is Onyar River. Besides, Church of Sant Feliu might be counted, too.
Is it good to eat out in Girona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
La Fábrica is pretty decent place. Waiter and waitresses are quick and diligent. They quickly serve and speak couple languages.
Is the nightlife good in Girona? Where is good to go?
Girona never sleeps. The city is not big but nightlife is flourishing. The officials do many parties and festivals, especially in the summer time. For those, who like bars or pubs then, I do recommend you Bar B12. Also, I heard Amalgama is good, too.
What advice would you give future students heading to Girona?
If you like history or architecture, then medieval Girona is definitely for you. In addition, do not forget to try gazpacho.
