Why did you choose to go to Getafe, Spain?

Because it's the place where the Social Science faculty of Carlos III University is located.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

In my case I have no scholarship but the tuition fee is relatively cheap(1500€ per academic year)and the cost of renting a room or sharing a flat is frequently between 200-400 € per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Getafe?

Its a nice city to live at, quite peaceful and full of students from a wide range of places. An advantage is that it's quite near to Madrid.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Getafe to other students?

Sure, the university is quite nice and the cost of living is cheaper than Madrid.

What is the food like?

You can eat a wide variety of food, like chinese, turkish ir typical spanish, like tapas. Its relatively cheap, rarely over 15€ per person.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Getafe?

It's quite easy. You can find accommodation in several web pages like Erasmusu for instance, you can contact with students or local people ir even an agency.

How much does it cost to live in Getafe?

Its cheap comparing to Madrid. Including the rent, eating and other costs, you can live well with 500-600 per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, in my opinion it's quite easy. There is a lot of courses available, groups of language support...

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Getafe from your city?

Using short distance train ("Cercanías" in spanish).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Getafe?

Probably to Daddy's or Fakultad.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Getafe?

There are several:

*Grand city of China

*Kebab parsa

*La Cibelina

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Only a very few. I will remark Catedral de Santa Maria Magdalena.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Getafe in the future?

Yes, don't worry about the language because the University is quite international and almost everyone speak english.
