Florence is a beatiful city, but living in it can be tough. This city is full of tourists all year long.
What is the student lifestyle like in Florence?
It is really easy to find Erasmus groups in Florence (mostly via Facebook). You have the possibility to travel and party with them.
How much does it cost to live in Florence?
It's quite expensive.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Florence? Is there any advice you can give?
Depends on the period, it's better to look a little earlier, but pay attention to all the frauds!
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Florence as a very tourist place is full of tourist restaurants. When you will find a non tourist place the food is much better and a little cheaper. The traditional pappa al pomodoro, pizza and every single type of pasta is amazing there. And the Chianti!
What places would you recommend visiting in Florence?
Just go out and simply walk around the city. Museums are worth seeing as well.
Is it good to eat out in Florence? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
- The best gelato in Firenze: B. ICE in via Borgo Ognissanti 150!
- Non typical but delicious pizza place - La Divina Pizza
- Delicious pizza place - Pizzaiolo
- Aperitivo areas: Sant'Ambrogio or Santo Spirito
Is the nightlife good in Florence? Where is good to go?
Florence is full of pubs and clubs, it's really easy to find one.
What advice would you give future students heading to Florence?
Brace yourself for slalom walking while you're in Florence!
It is easy to communicate in English if you don't know Italian, so don't worry and enjoy your Erasmus!
