Why did you choose to go to Firenze, Italy?

I wanted to live, visit Italy because of food and fashion style. Florence is a beautiful city and a great place to live.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is for 4 and a half month with a monthly allowance of 280 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Firenze?

It is a really great city which is full of tourists and international people. Also, the nightlife is great. Italian students at the university welcomed us very kindly and put in the effort to make you feel at home.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Firenze to other students?

Yes. Highly recommend.

What is the food like?

I don't think I would have to say much about the food in Italy. Italian cuisine is already famous worldwide.

No. I used websites such as:

How much does it cost to live in Firenze?

Living is expensive in Italy. Single room costs around 350 euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes. The language is easy to get grips with you can get started just by listening to other people that are speaking Italian. Also, first Italian language course is offered for free by the University of Florence.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Firenze from your city?

Bus, like Meinfernbus.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Firenze?

Well, if you join Erasmus groups such as ISF and AEGEE, then there are several parties and Aperitivo on a regular basis throughout the week. However, there are several nice clubs where you can go to such as: Blue Velvet, YAB and Space.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

  • Duomo
  • Uffizi Gallery
  • Palazzo Pitti
  • Ponte Vecchio
  • Bridge
  • And several others
