Why did you choose to go to Florence, Italy?
I wanted to study renaissance Italy history.
What is the student lifestyle like in Florence?
The student presence is clearly felt even more so that the tourist presence other than in the tourist hotspots like the duomo. The city consists of students of art and languages mostly learning and perfecting their crafts in the city.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Florence to other students?
for sure.
What is the food like?
The best food spots I discovered were gusto pizza and antico, a little deli spot with impeccable sandwiches.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Florence?
yes.
How much does it cost to live in Florence?
400euros per month and higher for a decent room
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
depends on the university
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Florence from your city?
westjet flights or other cheap flights
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Florence?
definitely
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Florence?
Gusto Pizza. Antico.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Piazzale Michelangelo. Baboli gardens. Duomo. Basilica Santo Spirito (at night). Parco Delle Cascine.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Florence in the future?
It's a beautiful city. Rent a bike and see everything you can.
