I want to find a house NOW!

Enjoy Florence!!!!!!

Florence is a "human-size city", it is full of everything you want to do or to visit: an infinity of art masterpieces, breathtaking landscapes only few kilometres from the city, lots of shops where you can go shopping and, despite people who say it is not true, there are a lot of fun things to do at night!

Yes, we have to learn to discover Florence by night! It's okay, with new rules a lot of pubs don't sell alcohol after 2 a. m., but we have to remember that it is a big city full of different pubs and places for all types of experiences, the famous fashionable pub called Dolce Vita in Piazza del Carmine, or the house ExEmerson... there are also outdoor places where you can have a drink (in the summer love Piazza S. Spirito but also S.Ambrogio, the Tamburello, and some kiosks like the one in Lungarno or the other in Piazza Savonarola) and there are many clubs.

I suggest to new people in Florence to leave the area of Santa Croce where usually all the tourists are.

Talking about restaurants there is a rule "outside the city centre" where prices are high but it's not recommended to go on suburbs, you could go to Via Ponte Alle Mosse (near the station Leopolda) to find a good and cheap pizza at pizzeria "Pinolo" or in Piazza Ghiberti (where during the day there is the famous market of Sant'Ambrogio) at the restaurant "A casa mia" where there's an amazing pizza and also other delicious main courses, big second dishes and prices are usually around 15-20 euros including wine.

Finally we have to suggest the great "vinaino" (small stand where you can sip a glass of wine) di San Lorenzo, in Via Chiara... the most typical one!

I suggest also the option the very fashionable "apericena" (appetizer/dinner, have dinner with a wide choice of different snacks). In a lot of places in the city from 6. 30 PM to 9. 30 PM with a drink that cost 7/8 euros you have a dinner included. In my opinion the best places are "Kitch" and "Kitch 2" (Piazza Beccaria and via S. Gallo) the "Zoe" (Lungarno), "Chiaroscuro" (via del Corso), "Rifrullo" (near S. Niccolò)... but almost all places always have something tasty!

In conclusion... I hope that you can fully-enjoy this amazing city, it can be true that "fiorentini" (people of Florence) maybe are a little bit shy at the beginning and maybe they show off a bit, but once you break the ice you will like them!
