Why did you choose to go to Exeter, United Kingdom?

Exeter University is a prestigious university and I wanted to improve my english.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I went there for a term (6 months).
I received 1700€ by aids in France.

What is the student lifestyle like in Exeter?

Perfect student life. You have work time obviously but also enough personnal time to do what you want to ! (music, sport, see friends...)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Exeter to other students?

Yes, definitely!

What is the food like?

Pretty good. The food is quite the same in every restauurant you go.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Exeter?

Exeter accommodation is very expensive, above all in the residences. (500£/month)
My house was more like 380£ per month.

How much does it cost to live in Exeter?

It is expensive too. You have to take into consideration food, rent, parties, restaurant, drinks...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

They have a little accent in Exeter but easy to get along with. After, it will depends on teachers !
INTO departement allows you to take aditionnal courses to improve your english.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Exeter from your city?

The economical way, I would say by bus but it's very long.
The easiest would be by plane but it's very expensive.
So I did a mix of both transportations.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Exeter?

- Unit 1
- Cavern
- Monkey Suit

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Exeter?

- The old fire house (great pizzas)
- The cosy club
- Ship Inn

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

- The cathedral
- The quay

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Exeter in the future?

Try to find a house to share with other people rather than renting a bedroom in a residence.
Don't stay alone, It won't be beneficial for you.
Take every opportunity to meet other people and go outside (because time's fast!)
