What is it like to live in Eskisehir? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a small city where is near capital of Turkey. You can always see young people on street.Everybody says also student city for Eskişehir. Also for Erasmus Programme Anadolu University is the best choice. The city always cheap and funny. Only one thing you should think completely which the coldest city I have ever seen. Especially in winter, degree about -10.

What is the student lifestyle like in Eskisehir?

There are two different University. Espaecially Anadolu University has a lot of opportunities.You have to pay for lunch only 1 TL ( 0.30 euro) in Anadolu Üniversity hall. Besides that, same price you can eat dinner. If you department Engineering and Architecture, aviation, sports science , you have to use bus for other campus. The other campus that a little far from city centre ( 20 minutes).I can say for the main campus like paradise.

How much does it cost to live in Eskisehir?

In city, you can find 1+1 flats. There are more choice and price about 500-550 TL (160-200 Euro). But if you dont want to be alone in flat, you can apply erasmus office .There is another choice for erasmus students that they can find a room for you. You will write your space for money, conditions.ESN( Erasmus Student Union) always organizr cheap trips for Erasmus Students.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Eskisehir? Is there any advice you can give?

You can apply tou Erasmus Office. They will find the best choice for you. Or after you arrive Eskişehir Im sure you cand find flat alone.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Çiğbörek is the most famous food in Eskişehir. On the other hand Turkish cuisine is the best I can say. You cand try everything like Kebap, Food with olive oils, deserts like baklava, you can drink ayran.

What places would you recommend visiting in Eskisehir?

Old city center was regenerated which names is Odunpazarı. You can drink Turkish Coffee , take photo traditional Turkisk House. Also Sazova Park like tale. You can reach every where by walk.Except Sazova :)

Is it good to eat out in Eskisehir? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

For Çiğbörek , you can prefer Papağan or Kırım . Or you want to eat something in a modern place, Varuna Memphis, David People, Leman,for meat Köfteci Yusuf,Sağlık Pide and a lot of choice.

Is the nightlife good in Eskisehir? Where is good to go?

In city center you can find clubs. With ESN you can go there with cheap tickets.

What advice would you give future students heading to Eskisehir?

Dont worry . You can find everything that what you want. Im sure you will like Turkey and Eskişehir. Always contact with Erasmus office and ESN.
