Why Izmir?

Why Izmir?

Izmir, historically known as Smyrna and dating back to 3000 BC, has a population of 3,000,000 and is the trade capital of western Turkey. Izmir has 671 kms of coastline (which is nearly equal to the total Mediterranean cost of Spain), 101 kms of wonderful beaches and boasts 300 days of sunshine per year.

Being a centre of commerce, industry and tourism Izmir provides a wonderful lifestyle combined with a metropolitan city life. For Turkish people, even Izmir city centre is regarded as a holiday hot-spot due to it\'s warm climate, stylish restaurants/cafes and the proximity to the wonderful beaches of Cesme, Kusadasi and Foca. Turkey\'s first Club Med holiday village was founded in Foca and Kusadasi.

Izmir is considered by many to be the most modern face of Turkey and, with the increasing population and growing economy, Izmir can be regarded as one of the best property investment cities of Turkey. The new motorway and International airport were completed in 2007 and 2008, and being the largest port in western Turkey, the planned new harbour in Izmir will trigger the economy in the future.

* The sea is only 5 minutes driving distance so you have the best of both worlds

* Due to warm and sunny climate even Izmir city centre can be regarded as a holiday hot-spot.
* Frequent flights to/from several UK airports all year round
* Wide scale urbanization in Turkey has resulted in a rise in population in cities like Izmir
* New shopping centres and new developments springing up all the time
